Greetings!
Welcome to the Georgia Institute of Technology Division of Professional Practice (DoPP) Web site.
I hope your visit to our site is both informative and helpful. If you are a current or prospective Georgia Tech student, this site will provide information about DoPP co-op and internship opportunities that are available. And, if you are an employer –active or potential – you can discover, through this Web site, more information about our undergraduate and graduate programs, the outstanding students available to help you address your human capital needs, and the process for making contact with some of that remarkable student talent.
DoPP has four programs available for its students and employers, each one having its own unique characteristics and value to participants:
- Undergraduate Cooperative Education (Co-op)
- Undergraduate Professional Internship (UPI)
- Graduate Cooperative Education (Grad Co-op)
- Work Abroad
The Undergraduate Co-op Program includes primarily freshmen and sophomores; UPI participants are mostly juniors and seniors; Masters and Doctoral Candidates make up the Grad Co-op Program; and the Work Abroad Program includes juniors, seniors and graduate students.
You can link to each of the above offerings to learn about the specific programs and their benefits to you as a student or employer. If you are an employer, after determining which program best fits your needs, you can go to the DoPP Web-based system, Professional Practice Division Database (P2D2), and begin a search for highly qualified talent among the students participating in the DoPP programs.
In addition, members of the Georgia Tech faculty are welcome to use this site as a link to P2D2 in order to check on the progress of students from their academic units who are DoPP program participants.
Our role at the DoPP is to facilitate an enhanced form of education in which employers can share in the educational process of our students. We work very closely with employers and Georgia Tech academic units to provide co-op and internship opportunities, both domestic and abroad, for Georgia Tech students.
Please feel free to offer us feedback on this site by e-mailing us at marketing@dopp.gatech.edu.
Sincerely,
